This web site provides articles I have written describing the restorations of the British classic motorcycles I have in my growing collection.
One of my main interests is in the motorcycles produced by the leading two British manufacturers, BSA and Triumph, during the 1960’s and the early 1970’s before the demise of the joint company in 1973. Most of this part of the collections consists of BSA motorcycles with the smallest bikes being the Beagle and Dandy and the largest being the A10 and later A65.
I also have an interest in ex-army bikes from the 1960’s right up to modern times. The collection starts with a 1969 BSA B40WD and includes variants of the Armstrong MT500 and Harley Davidson MT350 and ends with the Honda XR250 from 1997.
In the articles presented, I have tried to provide a history of the motorcycle in question and a description of the main features of the design. I have then tried to describe the work I carried out to restore the motorcycle to its original factory condition and what problems were encountered along the way. For each motorcycle, I have also tried to provide a complete list of its design specifications.
